Looks real for what it is. I am not expert on those types or Rolex's, but they did make many non oyster pieces a long time ago. More info needed

I read about that as well. Don't understand why Rolex would outsource cases to Italian jewellers though.

They also outsourced to French case makers as well, however those have special hallmarks and are easier to authenticate.

They outsourced mainly because of duties and tariffs they did it in canada as we'll. I have had at least 3 Canadian made rolex's
