1970 Rolex Submariner - Frankenwatch !!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Role...item35d9c63344
Hey Guys: This watch is out of South America and has all sorts of issues. The jeweler says that he took it in trade and is selling it as-is.... Case back and serial number are 1970, but the dial is a meters first and 2 lines (pre 1970) The case itself is marked 5512 and the caseback 5513 (not a deal breaker)... I almost forgot; the band is a 93150....not even close to correct.... This is a frankenwatch for sure....run away....run away...

You get a 5512 case and a cal. 1570 movement, worth more than a 5513 with cal. 1520 movement. Moreover, although not period correct, you get a metres first dial which is worth more than a feet first dial. You cald source a correct 5512 4 line dial and when found trade the worthe meters first 2 liner dial, if you wish to do so. Consequently, although you get a wrong dial for the period, you get more than if the dial would be on a 5513, as long as the price is right. Nothing to really run away from.
