my wifes opinion is "why dont we save that money instead?" I have to work her a month or two months before to justify the purchase....

I love my wife but I don't ask her opinion when it comes to watches.

When buying my first Rolex I was struggling between the conservative Explorer which I liked a lot, and the unique Milgauss which I loved but had reservations due to its quirkiness. My wife's very positive reaction to the Milgauss was what sealed the deal for me.

However I don't require her to like all my watches (and there are some she doesn't) but I value her opinion, especially when I'm having trouble deciding.

She's supports my hobby. Plus, as she likes to say: you never have to ask her twice to go to a jewelry store.

Absolutely, 100% important, would not buy anything she did not like. Nice to share the experience.

My wife feels uneasy wearing her Tudor and was convinced that a $10 cheapie from Walmart would work for her; it did for almost a week until it died. I don't ask for her help when it comes to purchases of watches, cars, boats, or motorcycles.

I feel lucky because my wife is a huge enabler, especially if she likes the model i am contemplating. I saw a speedmaster dark side of the moon today and my wife told me "it looks good on you, you should buy it". Can't believe i did not buy it (well may be because i bought 2 watches since early June).

She acknowledges the fact she knows nothing about watches, so thats all me. But she has a big say on clothes and cologne.

I actually am on board with asking the wife and show her every watch before purchase. It makes me feel better also that she likes my choices, ironically she loves rolex and could care less for my Pam's. That's always a depressing fact for me... :)

I value my wife's opinion on most things, but she generally has no opinion on my watch purchases, so I do not even ask anymore.

Funny about the comments on the BLNR. Thats the one Rolex ive tried on that my wife flat out didn't like. Probably why I have not pulled the trigger.

I have my wife opinion after each purchase. As she love me, she always love my choice

My wife hated the sub and love the YM blue, but the moment she saw the green sub in person, she told me to go for that. I think she hopes to wear it after I bought it.

Talk about indecisiveness.....

I might have taken someone with me for company while I shopped but before that I would have already been actively looking and was ready to buy. I was originally looking at the DJ, 31mm, black dial, white sticks, fluted, and jubilee. My ex bf didnt like it at all..I didnt care. LOL In the end I chose the DJ I wanted which was the 36mm, white dial, silver romans, fluted, and jubilee bracelet. Have been very happy with my choice. He didnt know what I bought till I sent him a pic while I was having coffee. My brother didnt know what I bought till I wore it to his house and he noticed it. I'm a bit independent that way. Also to add, my ex thought the Sub looked a bit big, doable, but still a bit big. I was like..ya..it does. Then I bought one. LOL

I have good taste, I dont need anyone else's opinion.
