Mike thanks for the info. Am I right to say this was the only GMT Master that had a sapphire crystal & is the bezel supposed to "click" when turned. Mine doesn't & I had a watch guy tell me yesterday that it wasn't supposed to.

Err buddy Bangkok Dave...a fellow Rolex watch collector in Bangkok...has been looking for a 6542 GMT for as long as Orchi could recall...perhaps you wanna sell yours...unpolished preferably.
Here's one which is 100% unpolished... |

Indeed the 16700 is the only MASTER with sapphire. I believe it also retains the friction fit bezel.

Had a 1675 pepsi, now have a 116710. I love the 1675 because it was a classic and appreciated by watch collectors, and I could wear it with out thinking of scratching the polished center links!!!! I love my 116710, but I don't like the polished center links.

2ndly...yes sure if your potential buyer in Manila isn't biting...please drop Orchi a PM... n about the eBay auction...Orchi has been watching it for quite some time since...looks like it won't be a bargain with 1 full day to go... Anyway as we never know...in eBay anything is possible...including NOT getting what the bidder expected the item to be... |
