Omega Speedmaster Vs Tag Monaco
Hi all.
I want your opinion, I have for sale an Omega Speedmaster, which I may also consider a trade. I have had some nice offers but one caught my eye. So I thought is would be nice to put this up for a vote and opinions, just for a bit of fun. So, would you trade a brand spanking new Omega Speedmaster Racing Co-Axial Chrono, for a year old 95% condition rating Tag Monaco? Photo of each below. (although the Tag is not of the actual watch.) I have always had a soft spot for the Monaco, but I feel the Omega is of a higher quality. Anyway, id love to know your thoughts, and what better place for an impartial opinion then the Rolex Forums. |

I would go for the Monaco, if the omega was the plexy moon watch i would go for that.

Short answer - No.
Hate the case on the Monaco and I think from a technical standpoint, the Omega is superior in every way, regardless of the MSRP of the watches. |

The quality of the Monaco is still very good. I would not consider it of lesser quality unless you solely compare the fact that Speedy is COSC and the Monaco is not.
If you like the Monaco better, I would not hesitate to go for it and dont be fooled into thinking its some kind of a lesser watch. |

For that Speedy and that Monaco, I think it is reasonable. Especially if you're not feeling the love for the Speedy right now. The Monaco case shape isn't for everyone, but if it looks good on your wrist, go for it!

Another +2.
Between the Moonwatch and any TAG, it's easily the former, but these "Racing" Speedmasters aren't my thing. That's the only TAG I would ever buy. Do it!

Not a fan of the presented models. If I had to choose one, I'd go for the Tag. This particular model of Omega is a bit too campy for my taste.

i might do this. the monaco is the only tag i'd consider. it's a bit of a classic of sorts and the case is unusual. i kind of like the speedie too though although i do prefer the classic probably. evenly balanced i'd say which to some extent is surprising given we are talking about a tag.
