SD 4000 or Deepsea D-Blue
Both great watches.
Which one would you choose as a "daily beater"? |

For me, SD4000...I think its a more "reasonable" every day watch. Deep Sea is tall and doesn't fit under some of my shirt cuffs.

I like them both -
I have the SD4000 - I may go for D-Blue as well to see if I like it. So far I love the pictures of it. JS

Just saw the Deep Blue today and the green writing was too yellowish/green and too prominent for me.

DSSD. I think it's a better example of Rolex' ability to construct a masterpiece of a watch case, so I would go for the best in any this-or-that situation.
If you're into having a Rolex, the SD4K would certainly be a satisfactory daily, slipping under a cuff with just a bit more ease. But if you appreciate watches as art and beauty, definitely DSSD. |

both great watchs and I wore the old SD and DSSD daily with no problems but I think the word reasonable is more fitting for the SD-C for an overall watch, the DSSD is not for everyone.

I own a SD 16600 and wore daily for many years. When the DSSD came out I really loved it, and wanted to buy one, but after driving my AD nuts with visits and even having him size it properly for my wrist, I just could imagine wearing it daily. I would buy DSSD and wear causally and Sd for every day. Good luck deciding |
