Vintage IWC

Just curious what people out there thought of vintage IWC.
I was browsing EBAY and saw this beauty. Not sure what people actually pay for these out there but here is the listing:

I like it, but the strap they've put on is horrendous.

A carbon fiber design with yellow stitching? Hideous.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the strap itself. Would look fine on a more sporty watch, but that IWC is begging for a nice black or possibly brown gator strap.

Very nice looking watch.
The negatives:
I prefer screw down backs as opposed to the pop off type.
Price. You can pick up an 18k IWC for $1,500. Or a similar Omega for under $500.
Case, definitely polished, dial possibly redone, (the AUTOMATIC print does not quite look full.)
