Congratulations on a great watch. :-)

What DJ are you buying your wife? Dial choice? Bezel? Bracelet? Inquiring minds want to know! LOL

the first watch i got out of school was an omega (on a tour of europe). someone else on tour got a rolex and i was thinking hey those are better. and my grandmother said something like rolexes are for businessmen. 3 years later i was fed up with corporate america, had a good run with my ebay store, and got a rolex (which i'm still wearing)
No nothing unfortunately, my father was raised in poverty in Mexico and was forced to get a job and drop out of school as a 13 year old. He felt the best way to raise us was to have a hard life for some reason. At 15 he stopped buying me anything and felt he only needed to provide food and a roof over my head. So I had to get a job for clothes, go out, prom, the whole 9. At 18 I had to start paying rent lol. Anyway I don't tell this to many people but hey it's the internet lol.

Thanks....and she wants a stick dial, with a rhodium face, on a oyster bracelet and a smooth bezel. I don't think I will be able to wait till Christmas since she has threatened to wear my watch to work every day till she gets hers. Even worse she keeps sending me pics of her wearing it lol.

On the bright side the watch is getting some fresh air and compliments except for one person at her job that is a Movado fan who simply said, he doesn't like it because it's too heavy.

Looks great on you. I love that watch. If my wrists were bigger than 6.5", that would be my next addition.

Been working construction ever since I graduated high school and most companies I worked for did not allow watches or any jewelry for that matter so that would answer why, It appears that I've dragged my feet a bit

Thanks for the congrats and asking the question that I'm sure a lot have wondered.
I didn't have a poor up bringing and had more than my share of advantages. I was pretty much unappreciative until I was in college and then I realized but too late to take advantage of passed opportunities. Congratulations again on the new watch and looking towards a brighter future than you father had. Hats off to him for working so hard to take care of his family; that is a great example of what love is about. FWIW, I lived in Tucson, AZ for ten years and I'm well aware of what hurdles are faced by immigrants. Most of us come from immigrant family at some point in the past. Thanks for sharing your story.
