Tell him you love it, but need to realize an 800 dollar discount to actually make it happen. This way iff you have to or ever want to flip it, you won't feel screwed...more play room. As long as it is in great shape, I still wouldn't take less than a 700 discount as a floor. Meaning this is the walk away deal breaker.

JMHO Much luck!

For $500 I'd go with the new.

Only $500 difference between new and used....nah, for the new in that case.

That's such a small difference that I would go new. But I've only bought new at this point.

If this is your first Rolex, I feel, it should be new.

New, I bought two used ones and two new ones. The new ones give me a better feeling.

It's only 500 more, and it still has that "New Rolex Smell"

DO IT.

The trusted sellers here don't play games with stock. They have it they sell it, first come first served. But an AD is prone to playing bullshit games. When you're a customer, the "rules" are modified to your advantage. $500 difference is a small price to "buy in" for an AD relationship if you ever need to play those cards in the future.
If the new is from an AD, it is might be more than $500 if there is sales tax involved. That being said, I'd buy NEW if you plan on keeping, but would purchase from a trusted seller (DavidSW).

Sounds like either a great deal on the new one or a bad deal on the used one so....

I bought mine used, it was very lightly used. It did not have a single scratch on it, I don't think the original owner wore it at all, or perhaps very little. It was about a year old. I got it for a great price at the time.. probably 30-35% less than the cost of a new one.

If its only a $500 difference I would definitely go NEW! I have pieces I bought used but it was huge savings so I saw the value, I love the feeling of a new Rolex with my name on the warranty card, that alone is worth 500!
