I have to agree with most of the above comments. I love being able to look at my wrist to see the time and date. And I marvel at the mechanics of these beautiful pieces of art. I can't tell you how often I look at the watch I'm wearing to see what the date is.

i tend to wear cheap clothes (gym shorts, t-shirts, flip flops)... so a solid watch balances the overall look imo. it's a damn good watch and a small reminder how far i've gotten.

Everyday we rely more and more on electronics. Charge this, Download that.

Mechanical watches provide an escape of all of that.

Totally agree with the above comment - nice to have something that works
with springs & gears etc and NOT batteries.... I just love it.
Just bought my first Rolex - an Explorer II (white face) - I've worked hard and always wanted one... now I've got it and I'll pass it on to my nephew in the future... a family heirloom in the making.
