Quadcopter Drone delivered my new Rolex!!!

Not really, but how long before the first Rolex is delivered this way?

Looks like Amazon will be first here

And would there be "no-fly" zones to make sure it did not get waylaid by opportunists?

This is my Rolex on a DHL drone

UPS tracking tells me it's due tomorrow, so I can bring to our lunch Wednesday! Or should I wear the OTHER new incoming? So many difficult decisions...

Drone delivery is a very silly idea. People have already hacked most of the OS used to fly these things. Your new Rolex will end up on some 16 year old hackers wrist across town.

If the drone is flying over a dateline or into a different time-zone, the watch will need to be a GMT!!

Not to mention just "old school" knocked down/shot down. I don't ever see drone delivery being a viable option. Delivery insurance would probably be ridiculous.

Is it safe to let a drone wear a Rolex?

What if it flies through a rain cloud?

PS to Porsche: Congrats on winning that beautiful Sub.

I could see hackers redirecting drones to their own site. Hopefully Amazon will have thought of this.

When I buy my Platinum Daytona, I'll pay extra to have it dropped by a drone, with a parachute, onto a huge pillow
