Sampled a variety of new pieces

Taking full advantage of all NYC has to offer...offer a WIS that is.

First a couple IWC. The big pilot followed by a couple limited edition ingeneurs.

Always wanted to try on the BP, but it didn't feel right when I finally did. Too much real estate on the dial for me, although I will always love the crown.

The ingeneurs were just something fun I had not seen before, so I gave them a whirl. As you can see the green one has a ceramic bezel. At roughly 25k, these aren't for me either.

Next up a few langes. Posted these elsewhere but lange always deserves a repost. Pt timezone (preowned), GL1 in WG, 1815 40mm WG.

Frankly I love them all! If only they were on sale Will add one someday, currently leaning GL1.

Next up the Vacheron 1921 in rose gold of course.

This piece is singing loud loud loud. I'm in the front row of the opera but can't find my wallet seeing as the price of admission is steep steep steep! If I get the chance at one used, at the right price, no brainier for me.

Always good to see a patek, in this case the 5726 on bracelet.

This piece is great! Just enough heft for me. Right in between the 5711 and 5980. I tried it on specifically to sample the white dial, and I like it very much. Seeing it side by side with the grey, I prefer the white...for now

Next up two Breguet. The first being the type XXI in SS, followed by the le tradition in WG.

No singing here...both very nice watches but the appeal just wasn't there for me.

Last but not least, the endless debate about which RO I like better continues on with no real answer in sight. May have to fork over the extra g's for blue, but I fear they will renege on it's boutique status and I'll suffer on resale.

Thanks for tagging along!

Not yet! Leaning towards a lange or the 1921 but a simple royal oak could get in the way. Time will tell. Many watches were seen at either boutiques or ADs with relatively poor reputations among WIS looking for fair market value. Therefore I'll buy from where I am comfortable ultimately.

Of all the models you tried on. Which ONE would you have chosen to leave with?.

Indeed the 1815 is so so clean! And the RO speak for themselves.

I'd have to agree. Patek is patek as the saying goes....

It sure is! Tempting but I've never bought preowned yet. Might have to bend the rules for such a piece.

Tough...it's between the grand lange 1 WG, Vacheron 1921, and royal oak 15400. Price being a factor of course as they are different brackets. I do love the 1815 but not as much as the 1921... Ahhhh

Th VC1921 looks the best on you. The price tag however is one I fail to understand.

Very, very nice. I really like the ALS 1815. And I really like the VC 1921, which I've has my eye on for awhile. Only problem with the VC 1921 is that I'm left-handed, so I wear my watch on my right hand - not sure I can pull off that dial if I wore it on my right hand. It looks great on you though.

The VC 1921 is but regular complication (unless I'm wrong).. Does the gold justify mid 30's price tag?

It's beautiful and different. I really wonder if folks are buying it at that price level. At this price point we are talking ALS prices, 2nd hand PP models.. I'm not a flipper in any way but are we paying strictly for the very unique look?.

Yeah same thoughts here. I can swallow the msrp but would like a large discount which Vacheron notoriously does not offer. Might be fair to say this reference holds it's value as I've heard many members proclaim they've been looking for one cheap and no luck!

I guess they figure they are patek more power to them!

Just as is true with ALS, it's all about what you supply. This piece is relatively limited from my understanding. Thus, demand is able to meet supply without the need for generous discounts.

How did IWC make it into that line-up?

I'd go for ALS or VC, but that Breguet Tradition looked mighty awesome as well!

I don't discriminate when browsing! Plus the IWC boutique was more than accommodating, as was breguet. On each instance someone personally went through the entire lineup and explained a bit about each piece! Such good customer service is appreciated.

Yeah the 5726 is killer! I thought I preferred the strap but I am starting to warn up to the nautilus bracelet...oh no lol this could prove costly
