To be honest, if i did think I would end up in a dangerous part of the city (not that there are many) I may think twice, but I rarely would think to go out without a watch, and to be honest if I was worried about perceptions I would slap the Patek on it, it flies under the radar more.

Wouldn't worry. Although I did once think I'd lost a Range Rover after a big night, while younger.
