These or that...?

Yes, I know the choice is mine, what appeals to me, etc (i've made the same comments myself).

After debating with myself for a bit, I've made up my mind where my watch budget will be heading. That said, after reading a similar post below, I am also curious to hear the thoughts here of fellow forumers.

If you must have a Patek, it's the Aquanaut for me.

DSSD. The dome crystal, glide lock clasp, and size really makes this a special watch!

As similarly stated by cabernet: I love PP, but not that one. Certainly I would go for the two Rolexes (especially those two!) pictured before that particular PP (no offence to anyone). Aint it great to have first world dilemmas like this. We really are lucky!!!! Life is sooooooo good.

I love Patek but I would still choose that Rolex duo.

Better yet, I'd get the DeepSea and stash the rest to save for the Patek.
That's my final answer:)
You get a beast of a Diver and the sleek, sporty, elegant Nautilus.

Another great duo would be the BLNR and the 5167

5711. That's a no brainer for me, especially if you already have other sport Rolex

Yes this, or the elegant Nautilus would be my choice. A Patek is just so well crafted, front and back, that if you can afford one you should treat yourself.

That pic is a tad bit deceiving... It looks like the DSSD and the BLNR are the same size. There is a pretty big difference between the two in real life, size and weight.

The PP does nothing for me.

I'd take the duo Rolex

I would go for the PP. But thats if I have the funds for it.

PP first, GMT then DSSD

and the lady standing over my shoulder seconds the sentiment

only consideration for me would be the size/fit of the 5711 on your wrist?

I love Patek Philippe. I traded my Nautilus (3710) for a Calatrava after I had the Nautilus polished by Patek. I was fearful of attracting scratches, which happen easily and look like crap on the 5711.
The Rolex almost looks normal with some scratches. In this game, I'll take door number one, Monty. DeepSea and GMTII.

Very close call for me but in this case most probably PP 5711. The only reason I choose the PP is because I don’t like the DSSD size for me.

With that budget though, 15400 + BLNR would be my choice. I know you had 15400 before so maybe you like SD4000 + BLNR.

If I do Nautilus, I would step it up to 5712 or 5726 personally. Nothing wrong with 5711 but for a plain Genta, I would choose 15400 or 15300.

I depends a lot on where you want to end up. You cannot go wrong either way.

If the DeepSea fits your wrist, I'd go with that.

I'd go with a Patek Aquanat Travel Time. All beautiful watches, but how often do you see a Patek?

I've cycled through a lot of watches over the years, generally have come back to Rolex for this reason. It's also why the many AP ROO have fallen out of favor with me (excluding the ceramic bezels). I like that the 5711 is simple, and fairly flat so can be worn mainly at the office and isn't quite the ding magnet (Mike and Chris's pics didn't do me any favors today...).

Well, when I've say I made up my mind, it's not a done deal. Still need to see the Deep Sea in the metal to make that final call...just waiting on its arrival to my AD.

So if I don't like it, then the wheels spin again and maybe I go after the 5711. The BLNR is a 99% certainty just a matter of finding the right deal for it.
