I think it's just semantics, he wants to wear it daily for the office. I would call it a daily wear. It's all good

Thanks for the kind words everyone. "Beater" was in quotations to refer to it is a daily wearer, compared to my 44mm RG that is a going out watch. I couldn't wear it to work and feel comfortable.
That being said, I've attached pics of my current "beater". There was a time I babied it and was upset at any scratches. I now wear it without thinking about what happens to it and since we are in the AP forum, maybe it is ok to use a Rolex as a "beater"? I took the pics of the Milgauss sideways this time :). 15400 will be resized this weekend and pics to come. |

Congrats on a super watch, am considering myself going for a 15300 or a 15202, but blue, I know already have the 5712 PP but I'm a sucker for blue, in watches and shirts, by far my favorite color but white is also very nice

So it took just under a week but I got the 15400 resized and finally took some pictures. Very happy with it. Definitely has an elegant wrist presence. Had 3 links removed and fits great.
Completely unrelated, but flew to NYC Saturday and had to make a visit to the 57th street AP location. Found it very underwhelming in the size, atmosphere, and staff. Salesperson was almost disinterested in contrast to those I met at Bal Harbor. I tried on a 15202 and it made me even happier with the 15400, since personally, I found the Jumbo a bit small and flimsy. In any case, here are some non-rotated pictures of my 15400 and one of the NYC AP Boutique! |

I too was greeted by friendlier people at bal harbour...likely because they live in Miami so have no reason not to be happy That said, ny treated me well just didn't get many smiles or get the feeling anyone working there was passionate about AP. Next time you're in town, hit up Cellini on Madison or better yet the Waldorf Astoria Cellini! It's a treasure trove of everything from AP to JLC, Greubel Forsey, Vacheron and Richard Mille! Oh and can't forget a serious stock of all things A Lange and Sohne!
