Which affordable Diver?

I currently own a Sub C and I'm considering picking up an affordable blue diver to add into the mix. So far I'm looking into the Christopher Ward C60 and Halios Tropik SS.

Price: Cward C60- $620-700. Halios- $650
Movement: Cward C60- Eta 2824-2/SW200-1. Halios-Miyota 9015
Other: Halios- Ceramic bezel.

Right now I'm kinda confused on which I like better. The Halios is a more unique/non-homage looking diver and comes with a ceramic bezel (something I've gotten used to with the sub c). While the C60 is a great looking homage with enough design cues to be considered its own. I just cant decide if its dumb to own an homage to the real thing I already own.

What do you guys think?

Of those two i would choose the Halios since it is more unique. Does it come with a metal bracelet? That would be a deal breaker for me.

However, when I was in the same situation a couple of years ago looking for a blue everyday divers watch I end up with a Seiko Blue Sumo and it is fabulous. I was also looking into a few deep blue watches but the seiko won.

The Halios comes with the blue shark leather strap. The bracelets are in production and can be bought as an accessory for $75 sometime this summer.

Of the two I'd go with the Halios.

I've always liked Squale and Glycine line of watches and they have solid history. Have you considered them? There's a lot to be had within this budget.

I'd get a Doxa before either of those.

Between those two, the Halios hands down. It's a much more original design and Jason, the owner, is super responsive.

I would check out watch recon and look at oris.
They are the best deal in Swiss watches IMO. Used market prices are insanely cheap for what u get

I had an Oris Aquis for a few months. It was a great watch and made very well. It had just a few QC issues like lume application but what bothered me the most were the weird lugs. I like having a bunch of strap options and the Oris divers make it hard to do that.

I prefer the C60.

I went with this option for a cheap diver.

Nice Steinhart. Yesterday I was all about the Halios and today I'm leaning towards the C60.

The Halios Tropik looks really great!

I don't like the date window in the CW, and wouldn't be able to live with it...

Between those two, Halios; and, I would order the bracelet and a blue rubber strap to go with leather.

The hands on the CW are too funky for me.

The Halios looks nice, but I would swap the band immediately.

I think those Steinharts are beautiful. Of the two the OP posted however it is Halios hands down for me. I think that sharkskin strap looks great too.

I did buy the Christopher Ward C60, with a charcoal bezel/dial. However, I just
couldn't get used to the date in 4 o'clock position and the onion hour hand. I eventually
sent it back to the company. They have a fantastic 'no quibble' 60 day customer
service agreement, where you can send it back for a full refund if you don't like
it for any reason.

Agree, get a Blumo, aka Blue Seiko Sumo, and call it good. Or get a Seiko Monster and have it modded.

I forgot I even made this thread.

To update you guys I ended going with an Oris Aquis Date. Great affordable diver with an awesome highly adjustable rubber strap.
