First watch - I remember asking for a watch that was a "transformer" when I was about six- I had the fighter jet - until it fell off the strap a couple of years later, such an awesome watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qeg22JU2t3Q
Between the "transformer" watch and my first good watch I had a bunch of swatches casios and seikos growing up. First good watch - Speedy Pro - oddly at the time I didn't want a Rolex because it was what my parents wore, abused the speedy for years ... great watch will probably put one back in the collection at some point First Rolex - Submariner |

First good watch: a Citizen diver model (can't remember exactly). Circa 1980'ish. No pic. I have the watch around here somewhere... First Rolex: SS 1500 Datejust with white gold engine turned bezel. Circa 1984. |

The first watch I remember having was a Timex; "Takes a licking & keeps on ticking." I had it for a while until a hockey puck reduced it to gears all over the ice.

My first watch was digital, came from a petrol station and cost £1.50 It lasted until it rained and then had to go in the bin.
My first nice watch was a Tag Heuer 6000 series gold and SS. I still have it somewhere. My first Rolex was my HULK. |

My first watch was probably a Mickey Mouse watch in the 1950's that looked like this one.
My first good watch was a Zodiac Sea Wolf, purchased in 1968 at the PX in Ft. Sill, OK for $40. I gave it to my brother when I purchased my GMT and he lost track of it along the way. I wish I still had both of them today. My first Rolex was a GMT 1675 in 1971, purchased new at the U.S. Navy Exchange (Altman) in Hong Kong for $139 and change. It is still my primary daily-wearer and will never be sold. It will be in my will as an heirloom that should never leave the family.

The first I really remember owning and loving was a Fila watch. Thinking back now it was a kid of rip off of the Tag F1 look. It was a red bezel and black face thing. My cousin gave it to me. He had two girls and didn't want one finding out so occasionally I had to give it back. Not a great story looking back but I loved the watch. I ended up giving it to an ex's little brother as he loved it and would always ask to try it on.
I bought a rectangle Sekonda as my first grown up watch when I started doing office work. I'll upload a pic later as I dug it out the other day. My first "nice" one was a Tag Heuer Carerra on my 30th. Reduced to half price for the sales and now being a price range I was happy to impulse buy on I bought it. Kept it a couple of years and later traded it against the TT Sub. Then the first was the Exp 2. Having a lunch time wander with some guys from work we all went into try on some watches to kill some time. I managed to get back just in time to my desk with the Exp 2 on my wrist. I'm a bit of an impulse buyer at times looking at this list. Lol. |
