usage of a sports watch bezel
I have read a lot of threads about the bezels on diver watches but never found the answer I am looking for. Sorry about my ignorance, but how exactly does the bezel work on a divers watch? The functionality? What are the numbers for? Cause as far as I know, they can be turned counterclockwise and that's it! When exactly do you need to turn them?

Basically, you just set the triangle/pearl to the minute hand when you begin your descent on a dive and it gives your elapsed down time. The current models only move counter-clock wise so if the bezel were to move during a dive it would only indicate less bottom time. If they moved clock-wise that would give you more down time than you realize and could lead to decompression sickness etc.
