Anxious energy!!
So as some of you know I am awaiting my first Omega from Davidsw :D. I found myself with a small touch of free time today and started getting anxious over my new watch! I decided to use this energy for something constructive rather than just fretting. I made my very first leather watch strap!! It is made from an old rifle sling and I used forest green stitching.

Ha - I thought I was the only one who used finishing nails as a punch.
As for the incoming anxiety - no fretting - just heavy drinking and 30 second refreshes on the FedEx tracking page

Its thick and heavy but I like it. I am sure the next will be better but not too shabby for about 2 hrs work and my first on.:thumbup:

Nice work there!!!! I guess I don't get nervous, just happy that I'm in a position to afford things I really like (with hard work). I too am waiting on a watch and haven't even checked FedEx. I'm staying home tomorrow so it'll arrive when it arrives. Then I'll zip off to an AD to have it sized.

I'd like to see how they look on the watch(es) when you put them on. As another person with a few "slings" lying around, this would be a great idea. The thicker, tougher leather, and it already pre-worn from being used in the field on the rifle...could be AWESOME!
