AP Price Decrease
I am interested in purchasing a RO Chrono rose gold (white dial). The current msrp is $54,900. I read that this watch was previously more expensive but AP lowered the price in 2013. Does anyone know what this watch retailed for prior to the price drop? Thank you!

Check the sticky in the upper part of the AP forum here. 2012 prices are there. What you're looking for at $55,700.

Do you mean the ROO 44mm RG Novelty? The RG ROC was not decreased.

I read this article and that's where I got my information from. Oh, well. Thank you!
http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/audemar...nograph-review In January of 2013, Audemars Piguet decided to drop the prices of their solid gold timepieces considerably. What does that mean? You’re getting the ROC chronograph as seen in this review (in solid rose gold) for $54,000. That’s about $10,000 less than the Vacheron in gold (MSRP is $63,100) and a truly astonishing $37,400 less than the new Patek 5980/1R on bracelet. So, you could buy the AP Royal Oak Chrono in rose gold AND a Mercedes-Benz C250 Sport, or the Patek Philippe 5980R on bracelet. It's a no brainer. |
