Depends what you want and where you go. Vintage? New? Which region?

You hardly get any discount on that one, max. 3 to 4% at any AD. Chrono Time at rue de la Fontaine is the world's only Rolex owned shop, there you will get it net of VAT, if you sunstantiate that you will export the watch. Official list price is 7100 CHF, without VAT this would be 6574 CHF equaling roughly 7000 USD.
For used ones and vintage go to Ponti, I think he has a 1 year old one for 6400. I would ask the same for mine, which is also 1 year old. Obviously I would rather spend the extra 200 for brand new. Don't know where you are from, but keep in mind customs duties in your own country, so client code could play a role. |

I may be wrong about this, but I don't think you're gonna get a great deal on a Rolex in Switzerland. European prices are higher ( or at least they were in Paris last September) and the Euro is trading at a premium to the dollar. the discounts you get won't offset that..... if Money's no object, it would be fun to buy one there... but money's an object !

Thanks for the replies I am in the UK with 20 vat so Geneva is actually a bit cheaper for me.
I had been looking at a company in Lugano called Goldfinger International SA, anyone dealt with them before? But the Rolex owned shop sounds great, that might be my preferred option Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
