Better value?
I'm interested in adding a GMT to the lineup and had set out for a K Serial 16710 Pepsi. After checking things out and speaking with some of the local TDs here it looks as they will be around the same price ($6-6500 usd) as a 116710ln. I really like those also.
That said. Is one a better purchase than the other financially if you are split 50/50. I'm thinking service on the older model vs cost of replacing parts etc... Thanks for any insight here...

Better value is which one you like best. They do wear differently.

Financially, the 16710 will be a better buy. Rolex only increases prices every couple of years, whereas used/vintage Rolex seem to go up almost monthly.
Why K serial? For the SEL/lug holes combo? If so, you can expand your search to late A, P, K, and early Y serials. Service pricing won't be an issue on these serials. |

Value is the one that makes your smile the largest for the least dollars.

Yea. I like SEL/ lug hole combo. Thanks for that info.
Again, I truly like them both the same. It's more a conversation of how the 15 year old gmt has taken off recently. I believe some has to do with release of Pepsi in WG. This leaves the only "Pepsi" option being a 16710.

I mean resale value. I've seen 16710 Pepsi hover around the < $5k mark with the 16610 for a while. This year the GMT has quickly passed the Subs pricing.
