Poll Help decide TT Daytona vs. TT Serti Sub
I've been thinking about adding one of these TT sport watches to my collection. Would really appreciate some input.
16613 slate serti dial 116523 or 16523 in white or slate What are the pro's and con's of these two Daytona references? Current Collection: 116400gv - Milgauss 18038 - YG DD 16570 - Polar ExpII 16014 - SS DJ |

I've seen a 116523 with a panda dial and it's a really sharp looking piece. Here's one from the FS section: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=374090
If I ever bought a TT Daytona, it would be that one. I have zero use for the chronograph function, but that dial almost makes up for it......almost. |

Daytona with slate dial. I much prefer the Rolex movement 4130 to the old Zenith movement. Check here or search engine for 4030 vs 4130.

My Brother in law just bought a TT Daytona Panda Dial and it is absolutely stunning. That would definitely be my choice.

I contacted a seller about a serti sub earlier this week. I didn't end up with it, but you know what I voted for.

Love the slate Sub. Had you just polled between the regular black/blue Subs and the Daytona, I'd have gone with the Daytona.

Anything but the old serti sub.....because....
New bracelets, new clasps, easy links, divers extensions etc etc etc depending on model Unless you want the classic aluminum and old style bracelet....then nothing but the serti And there is another thread I believe called 2014 daytona and there are many items listed between the current gen reference and the past gen reference of the http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...t=2014+daytona |

I think both the GMT and Daytona works well in TT. But the real TT icon is the Datejust on a jubilee.

I voted other. My choices would be the following:
1. Submariner Date 116613 LB with sunburst dial 2. Datejust II 116333 with slate green roman dial 3. Datejust 116231 with silver stick dial or 116233 white roman dial The above watches are the best TT watches Rolex has to offer in my opinion. Can't go wrong with any of them.

I would vote for the Serti Sub, but my heart is with the 116613 TT Sunburst Blue Sub.

I originally was looking at the serti for my first Rolex. Finally decided that the jewels just weren't quite right for a sub and went with the sunburst. Couldn't be happier with it.
Though, to each his/her own, of course. |
