Daytona zenith movement

Hi this might be a stupid question but i would like to know what is so special about the Zenith movement in certain Daytona models from around 10-15 years ago. Why is it so much better than the current movemement and people are willing to pay a bit extra for that?

Thanks

I think that it doesn't have to do with the movement it has to do with the fact that the zenith daytona is a vintage watch cause since rolex is not using the zenith movement anymore. The in-house daytona movement the 4130 is much better than the zenith movement the 4030 in many ways

The 4130 is a really reliable movement easier to service more accurate because of the parachrom harispring and it initiates a new generation of chronograph movements.

I can't say that it is a better movement. Some say so but others disagree.

Rolex took the Zenith movement, "detuned" but also changed quite a few parts.

The pre-owned premium commanded is more due to its relative rarity compared to the current model, IMO. Certain dial / bezel variants are highly desirable and expensive, as are the A and (especially) P serial versions with SEL.

The 4030 is not better than the 4130. The reason people pay more for the 16520 is that it is no longer produced and more difficult to find in top condition.
