I have got to say in a fairly healthy collection my latest addition the Root Beer may well be my favourite. For those that have never seen one in the flesh let alone outdoors you cannot begin to believe how great they are. I am developing true man love for mine. Photos do not do it justice, I originally thought they looked strange till I saw a members one at GTG and while i would like a pepsi as well it would never punch at the same level as the root beer it rocks and pops!
Personally being in Ceramic is no biggie to me, happy for old school.

I think a new ceramic root beer would be amazing, but i reckon the cost of the colour coating on the bezel would mean it would be a precious metal model

I'm afraid I have to side with the pragmatists here, can't see it making it into the display case. As one person has said, it's an acquired taste, and while there are many knowledgeable people and Rolex devotees on TRF, the level of interest expressed on this site for many of the vintage models and designs is not representative of what would sell in the real world.
