I really don't see your complaint, not the Austin I've known all my life. Nearly everything and nearly every event, restaurant, club, course and part of town is accessible to nearly everyone. Nobody is priced out of anything except maybe f1 vip or ut suites. I really can't think of another town top to bottom where nearly everything is accessible. Try sf, hell I couldn't even afford to park there

Very true it is about timing. Last year, my friend beat out some thousand people to get Vettel and Webber's autographs on the same hat, and this year we both beat some hundreds and thousands who arrived late and tried to sneak in and get autographs. VIP is the only way to do it. For other events, WEC, MOTOGP, GA is fine. The events are popular, but nothing like F1.

I don't pay for VIP tickets.. but have a seating licenses for 4 seats in Turn 15. This is also a great way to get into a few of the VIP tents, the Thursday pit walk and a few invites for track days etc during the year.

This was one of my favorite things during the pit walk last year... You can hear the individual cylinders firing

And my favorite.. I was at COTA for a business meeting and the ALS cars were running practice laps.. I just happened to catch this.

I was really happy to see that. I went because i heard the Senna Store would be there. I walk up there Friday morning, just after the gates open and i have on my Nordschleife t-shirt on and the guy behind the counter recognized Nordschelife and we talked briefly about it. I had heard that it was new at Silverstone and i mentioned Silverstone to him. I am not sure if he was at Silverstone, but i think that most of the vendors aren't enthusiasts of the sport. Some are, some aren't. I knew more about the store than he did. HA! No, in all honesty it was a big reason for me to go. I finally got to get my Nacional hat, i've been after a real one for a while now.

Happy for you, Challenger.

I declined the Nacional one only because I have one from when he was still racing. They have a website, and now I know tgeir stuff is good quality and legitimately backed by his foundation.

Senna Siempre.

There will be the grand finale next week with the winner taking it all. Hamilton v. Robert.
Should be a very interesting race for the drivers world championship.

Apart from if Hamilton comes 2nd to Rosberg. Then Hamilton will still take the championship.

Unless Hamilton DNF's, he's World Champion. I do not foresee him in anything but the top 10 or 8. Not a big fan, but still to be a World Champion takes big talent.

Nah, if Rosberg wins then Hamilton has to come 2nd. This is because of the double points at Abu Dhabi. Under the old points system he could of come 6th.

Hamilton is still the huge favourite of course as you would expect a Mercedes 1-2, but you never know what will go down.

Brilliant vid, thanks.

Would be such a shame if the double points had anything to do with the outcome of the championship, but I suppose a DNF would equally be possible. Hamilton has been the best driver this year no doubt.

The little dude on my shoulder with the pitchfork thinks it would be epic if Hamilton made sure Rosberg didn't finish, Senna style (or Prost style, depending on your POV), at the first turn.

I kind of agree but I think this wouldn't be possible as a 'new' FIA rule would be introduced that docked him points for collision.

I'd love to see something like that, I think those are the sorts of things this (my) generation of F1 fan misses out on compared to yesteryear.
