Submariner VS PAM 372 VS AP Diver Steel

Its nearly christmas, I want to buy myself a new watch!

What do you think is the best for me?

Submariner is the most iconic watch ever, while PAM 372 47mm is also one of the most iconing in Panerai.

While AP Diver as 42MM but wear as big as 44MM Panerai.

If I buy the diver, I could not have another budget for early next year. If I buy the cheaper one, I can buy another watch such as Omega or Breitling early next year.

These 3 is like the battle between 3 KING.

What do you vote

It's just the right size! 47mm complements the wrist fantastically!

You need to provide a little more information about the rest of your collection.

For me:
Sub > PAM 372 > AP Diver

I love the 372, but 47mm Luminor is a very large case. AP Diver is a great watch, but I prefer the other two watches. Subs are everywhere. While that may make it less interesting for some people, it also demonstrates the immense value.

Buy what you like the most. Everything else is someone's opinion.

Submariner. Pam's don't do a thing for me.

I have a Panerai 508, hulk submariner and the ceramic ap diver. Soon to have the steel ap diver.

There is no way I would choose a submariner Over the Panerai or ap. Ap steel diver, something different...more wrist presence and an excellent movement and masculine look. 40mm is just outdated in my opinion

I would start with the AP Diver because the other ones can be had fairly easy.

Other than having a black dial, these three are wildly different, no?

Depends...daily wearer I would go with the sub for sure. 47mm is too big for everyday IMO even though I love my 422. Can't speak for the AP as I haven't worn one for a long period.

Sub for me. I like the 372 and Diver but if I were to have just one, the Sub would get the most wear.

40mm is really outdated? Big watch is the trend?

^^ IMO the big watch trend has been and gone (unless you're female of course) . Classic sizes are making a comeback!

If the other choice was Blancpain FF we'd have a competition. PAM is too big, though interesting, and the AP, well the two iconic Genta designs do zero for me (apols for blasphemy).

For those who don't know the AP and Panerai lines well enough, pix would have been very helpful. Regardless, I would go for Panerai. I'm not a big Sub or AP fan!

Maybe a YM2? Albeit SS may fit your budget better.

If you're a 'risti, hard not to like the 372.

Out of those three, the 372. But I would pick a 422 over all of them

Need more details about your collection. If this a first watch, then Submariner. You have to have one, it will keep calling no matter what. All the talk that everyone has it is rubbish, so what, get what you like.
If you have existing nice watches...then the Pam 372 wins, no contest. It's my next watch, but I already have a Sub.

The AP is arguably the "best" watch in this comparo but that doesn't mean diddly-squat if you're not 100% in love with its polarizing design. The 372 is arguably the most "authentic" PAM, but that doesn't mean diddly-squat if you don't have the wrists to pull it off. The Sub is arguably the most iconic diver extant, but that doesn't mean diddly-squat if you're looking to put something unique on your wrist.

My suggestion? Try them all on, and whichever one puts the biggest smile on your face is the watch you buy first.

Regards,
Adam

PS - FWIW, if it were me, the answer would be the AP, hands down.
