Icon20 New Special Edition !!! PAM00613

I was informed that Panerai was on the way to produce a special edition model exclusively for their boutique in Istanbul. Last week, I had a call from them telling me the watch is there and waiting for me. I went there in a flash.

My first impression is quite positive. The watch is very attractive and much better than I expected.

Generally speaking, Panerai has a great workmanship on ceramic.

They have many beautiful models in the collection. One of them is PAM00292 and this new Special Edition has the same case.

Generally speaking, Panerai has great workmanship on ceramic. They have many beautiful models in their collection. One of them is PAM00292 and this new Special Edition has the same case with 292. The reference of the model is PAM00613 which has not been annouced yet on Panerai's web site.
The watch is limited to 101 pieces and the retail price is 8.300 euros.

The sandwich dial looks quite impressive on this ceramic case. It is similar to what Panerai used on both PAM00441 and PAM00438 but of course it has it's own differences.

The dial is perfectly balanced since there is no date display and all the numbers are on their place. I think the lume color is the perfect match with the ceramic.

The writings on the dial “Radiomir” & “Panerai” are positioned nicely.
The hands are also familiar since Panerai uses them on many other models, especially The Black Seal ones.

The watch is 45 mm and it features all the characteristics of the well known and highly desired Radiomir cases.

The removable wire loop strap attachments are made of stainless steel and dlc coated to match the entire color scheme.

The screw-down winding crown has nice OP logo on it.

Most of the details of the watch are similar to its old brother PAM00292.

2,2 mm sapphire glass is fitted underneath the ceramic bezel and applied anti-reflective coating from inside. 10 bar ( 100m) water resistance is more than enough for such model.

The strap is one of the best ever provided by Panerai.

It is called “Assolutamente” and 27/22 mm like all the other Radiomir cases.

The Pre V style buckle is again pvd coated stainless steel ;

PAM00613 is using hand wound Panerai OP XI calibre but we are not able to see it since the back cover of the watch is solid. This calibre is based on ETA 6497/2 and operates 56 hours when it is fully wounded.

As it is written on it, the Back cover is made of stainless steel like the strap attachments.

It is dlc coated and the case type/number information are engraved on it together with Officine Panerai sign and watch description “ Radiomir Ceramica”.

As a reminder, Panerai didn't forget to mention water resistance degree which is 100m.

The limited edition information of the watch is laser etched to the ceramic case.

The watch comes in special edition box which loyal Panerai fans are quite familiar with. It is bigger than the standard box comes with regular production models.

There is a nice small placket indicating the model.

The certificate of the watch is the credit card looking one. Panerai uses that type of certificates for the models not running with in-house movements.

However, like all the other special edition Panerai's PAM00613 has also that special rolled certificate paper which describes the watch and the limited edition information.

Like all the other Panerais, it is possible to use this model with different strap options.

Thanks to it's case dimension you can use it even as a dress watch by selecting the appropriate strap for the purpose.

I tried it on at least couple of hours and it felt quite comfortable on my wrist. It is light in weight and fits to 18,5 cm. wrist perfectly.

Personally I prefer bigger cases but, this one reminded me of the 45 mm Radiomir case without the regular lugs which I should say is still the most comfortable Panerai model.

Eventually I am very happy to have this watch in my collection.

I suppose they will sell them all in a very short time since we have many Panerai fans in the country. The rarity of this model will be its most important point.
Thanks to you all for sharing this passion with me.
