Engineering meets art.
Or
Art meets engineering

Either way, special.

That's pretty incredible, so the chain winds down as the power depletes i assume?
when you hand wind it you get to see the front dial crank it in?

Definitely a unique piece. Very few manufacturers are able to do fusee chain - and Zenith being one of those manufacturers, still don't get a lot of recognition. Always puzzled by this - perhaps they need better marketing like Rolex.

Yep very true Mark - DeWitt do the fusee and chain, but pretty rare beasts.

Is the one from DeWitt the same or just a gimmick ?
It does look very different, the chain looks to be less than 4 cm while the one in the Zenith is 22 cm and really winds the watch
Jus tlike the one in the Breguet and Lange Pour le mérite.
But these chains have more than 500 parts ... the DeWitt looks 'strange'

And this is why the wristwatch, aka mechanical timepiece, will never be replaced by a smart watch or phone.
