Any thoughts on the 572? Trade/sell my 312?
I brought my 312 in to the local boutique for service and they suggested that I try on the 572 and the 573. Well, I just fell in love with the 573, but the price tag is So I'm now thinking about the 572, but the face is so similar to my 312, as with all other Panerai models.
Has anyone purchased a 572 that can give some comments? On a side note, I think I'd want to let go of the 312 if I get a 572. It seems like the ones listed here haven't really been moving? |

I've been SO tempted to get a RG Panerai. Down to a handful now of which the 573 is a serious consideration.

don't like the word 'automatic' on the face....other than that, it's a nice piece

Agree, the word automatic kills the dial, should just leave the dial clean
Personally I'm looking forward to cali or SLC version of 572 minus the automatic wording |

572 is such a nice watch. I'd love to try one on.

572 is a beauty: great movement, nice sized (45) and thin case, and well-balanced dial. I also like getting the four digits while also getting the small seconds hand.
I'm not bothered by "Automatic", either, as it balances the dial, serves to differentiate the 572 from "historic" manual wind models, OP has used the word on other automatics in the lineup and if that word is good enough for absolute icons like the Jumbo, it's good enough for a Panerai dial. So, in theory, yes, I would trade a 312 towards a 572, if my strap collection wasn't too big or if I had another 24mm lug watch. |
