AP Survivor NOT WORKING

Hey everyone,

I just joined to get your guys' advice/input on this problem I've encountered.

I have a AP Survivor and for some reason it won't work. I try to wind it and it still doesn't work. Nothing is working on it.. I press the pusher buttons and still nothing.

The last time I wore the watch was a few months ago, and unfortunately I don't use a watch winder. So I imagine it died on its own as per usual, but this time I can't even get it to work anymore.

I've had it for a few years now, so don't think I have warranty. Don't really care what it costs to get it working again, I just want it to work.

Any ideas what could have gone wrong? I store it in room temperature in a closed watch container, and it didn't go under water or freeze or anything of the sort. It's never been dropped, it's still mint.

I'm in Vancouver, Canada. Need advice what to do or where to send it. I bought it from "Luxury Baazar" website a while ago.

AP website tells you:
"You should bring it into a nearby Audemars Piguet boutique, repair center or authorized retailer. We will forward it to an authorized repair center with the proper technical skills."

Probably end up in Clearwater Florida.

Contact luxury bazaar, good guy, they will taking care of it. Don't go to any watchmaker other then AP, they might ruin your watch.

What will it cost if its an oil issue?

I just found out my Panda also doesn't work. FML. I store all my watches away and rarely wear them due to my personal life and I don't wanna damage them. So now I'm in this predicament for two AP watches UGH

I have had the exact same problem with my Survivor and Rubberclad. I use a very experienced watchmaker in Toronto with whom I have complete trust who was able to get both working again. It took 3 business days to re-oil the movement/mechanisms and cost $250 per watch. I would recommend my "guy" to you but the distance maybe a problem for you. Unless you come to Toronto often for business, in which case it would be easily arranged. Pls PM if you need my help.

AP in NYC will charge you $1500 for each watch for full service, lubrication, gaskets, etc and take about 2 months. Welcome to AP

Probably not the issue but the manual states that the 3126/3840 needs 30 full turns CW.

Most likely oils and yes it might cost about a grand+ to have a nice full service. As you said price is not the worry and get that beauty on the wrist ASAP.

Let us know what they say Monday...
