I got another GMT...

BEZEL INSERT!!!!

Got ya!

I was fortunate enough to find a brand new Coke bezel for my GMT. I've never had the coke color combonation on my wrist before. I like it!!!!

I took some interesting pics while in the process of swapping the inserts. I hope you guys enjoy them!

Before the swap w/ Pepsi insert

Pepsi insert and bezel removed.

Nice crystal shot!

Bezel snapped back on awaiting the new insert

Ahhhh, all done!

Without your bezel insert in - the crystal looks like a SD crystal

I bought it from an individual on TZ. I paid too much, but demand is increasing now that production has stopped. They're getting harder to find on the cheap. I paid $95.

Congrats Jeff. Changing those inserts make a hell of a difference. Adds so much value to one watch.
Enjoy,

Beautiful watch from a fellow GMT Owner. It looks like it is well cared for and I like the new bezel.

Now you have 2 GMT's, so $95 seems like a good price to double your collection.

Even better...3 very different looks on one great watch. I'd like to be able to do that with my Sub.

I have 2 and plan on aquiring the coke insert while in London for the TRF GTG. Can't think of any better way to celebrate my trip and I don't care what the conversion rate is.

I've seen a couple of posts about changing the bezel inserts including a couple with instructions. I'm wondering from those that have done it a few times how hard they are to change. How much risk is involved with this?

Sweet! The watch looks fantastic, and great photos too. I like how you did a step by step series there.

It was easy. A little too easy cause the second time I didn't pay as much attention to protecting all surfaces. My watchmaker quickly buffed out my mistake.
You can do it. Take your time, take every precation, and you'll do fine.

Lovely watch, I have a Coke GMT on order from my local AD. It is back at Rolex at the moment being checked over. It was an unused prize in a competition and sat in a safe before being returned to the dealer totally unworn. Apparently Rolex need to check it over before issuing a brand new warranty.
I cannot wait for it to arrive but your pic will keep me going for a bit longer!
These watches are very rare new in the UK.
What technique did you use to swop the bezels Jeff?

Cheers, PeterT

Great pics of a lovley watch, I used to prefer the black bezel but after seeing some pics of the coke a few months ago I'm really starting to think I should get one soon

I like it, I need some extra bezels. Damned if I'll change it myself, though.
