Zenith The Zenith Captain Winsor (Annual Calendar Chronograph)?

I am traveling/in airports after spending a wonderful week in Costa Rica and have been reading up on the above referenced for the last 2 hours now.... Time flies (at 36,000 vph in this ref!).

I am quite impressed with the complications, case and dial. Even more impressive is the price! Great value it seems. Without looking too hard I've located an 18k rose gold BNIB for 11k....

Anyone own one of these? I have zero experience with zenith though I am aware of their reputation and in-house manufacturing process. I have not heard great reviews re: service however.

Any thoughts/inputs would be great. Best

I own this model but the boutique edition with the Arabic numbers, and I love it.

Gorgeous! Interesting dial. How long have you had it for?

About 8 months actually. Haven't had a single issue, and keeps great time

Zenith has caught my eye too, Thomas.

I really like the Captain Moonphase.

Keep us posted if you get one!

You should; a great old Swiss company who used to make the mechanism for the Daytona. The first true watch house with all aspect of the watches made internally. Looks beautiful. I own a Zenith but no where near as nice.

Thanks, it pretty new territory for me and I've been studying up on company. The watch is from '61 and was strangely enough introduced as an alternative to the Explorer. This one is less common with the sub second hand and painted dial; most have a center second hand and applied markers. This also has a 40T caliber which is pretty nice. Here's a photo of the manual wind caliber from guy from whom I bought the watch.

Oh wow! Looks great. I quite like the brand though I have to say looking past the el primero caliber is a bold move!

I agree, the El Primero is the most famous watch they have and a really nice watch; my biggest issue is how well they will hold their value. If you can get a good deal then these are great watches. If you are in to the vintage ones, here is a list of caliber serial numbers vs date of manufacture.

Innovative movement that is the same as the one used in the MIH annual calendar watch. One quibble I have is that the day/month/date are not aligned ... if they were (like the MIH) I'd like it even more.
