I don't think many folks on this forum like the idea of modifying something that started out perfect anyway, but I've seen so many really good posts about what people would change about certain watches if they could. This was something I could change, and to me, it's for the better. My AD told me that the original brushed finished can be restored to the bracelet and case with no problem, should I ever choose to do so. Cheers!
