Lady Datejust - old style to new swap?

Anyone happen to know if a new-style clasp will fit onto an older style ladies oyster bracelet?

My wife has a ten year old two-tone lady datejust with two-tone oyster bracelet, and the clasp (we all know how flimsy the older styles are compared to the new ones) has become really finicky - it pops open regularly.

I know how to adjust with a little 'bend', and have, but I'd really just like to upgrade her the newer style. She really wants to keep the watch, it was an anniversary gift and has sentimental value, but agrees the new style bracelet is so much better. Any idea if a new bracelet will fit, or if at least a clasp swap is possible?

Thanks for any insight anyone can offer!

Can you possibly clarify? A new bracelet will fit up? Lug springbar holes are in the same place, end-links fit etc?

I know Rolex is quite proud of their ludicrously expensive replacement parts (silly expensive, especially where precious metal is involved ), but don't forget I'm having to factor in the sentimental value here, it's not just about the retail value her watch

A ten year old Ladies Datejust will have the same configuration between the lugs as one newer and will accept the SEL of the newer bracelets.

A new TT bracelet is about $8,000. The clasp is hard to impossible to find and will be a couple of thousand but will bolt up to the links on the present bracelet. You will need the additional links used in the newer "hidden" design.
