Anyone own both 116610LV and 116619LB
Basically love the sub, pondering owning 3. I've been down the road of owning several of the same style of watches before. Wondering if I'm going down the same path.
Thoughts?

I have the LV and dream about owning the LB at the same time.
If you are able to own both there is nothing wrong with that at all. They would make a fantastic pair of subs. Now go get her!

Not for me, but if you are collecting modern subs it seems the logical thing to do.

I have bought one of the Sub 116610LV an excellent time piece and very eye catchy watch. I have bought it from UK's best dealer. If you are buying it you should surely go for the same watch.

Go for it! The dial variations make them totally different watches.

First of all, I don't, so my opinion really shouldn't count for much in this discussion...
All boils down to what you want in your collection...are you more into diversity or do you love and appreciate the subtle nuances in the sub line enough to justify having 2-3? No wrong answer here and boy those are two great watches you're considering. |

I have the YG Blue and will possibly get the LVc in the future, I think they are different enough if you love subs.

Nothing wrong with owning multiple versions of the same style watch. Can't say I have the great fortune to own a 116619 LB, but I do own other variations of the modern Submariner and could not be happier.
I think Rolex purposely makes them in different colours to get us to buy them.

So if I did this, my Rolex collection would be what you have above. 116619lb,116610lv,16610ln.

Yes...I have both...the LVC probably gets more wrist time, but they are both "must-haves" in my collection:)

Depends I suppose on how much you value a precious metal sports Rolex over, say, an SS AP RO, perhaps? ;-) Personally, if I could only have one at this time, if I were to have the AP itch and if I already had a couple of SS Submariners (including especially the LVc), I would be leaning heavily towards the 15300/15400 over the WG Sub...because I value the new-to-me brand ownership experience of AP over a gold Rolex, plus the RO is pure YMMV. Would the Daytona and Explorer be sacrificed in either scenario? |
