Frank, Toni, what's the difference? BTW - Switzerland were never "on" the Euro. All they've done is set their own exchange rates. They can only peg it this way if they hold vast amounts of Euro currency and/or debt. It's likely they do and they've decided that the Euro is worth a lot less than the markets do. Expect the markets to panic as is their nature. Meantime, the world spins and we all get older and die. Happy days.

this is good for the us dollar for sure.
It will make the US dollar an even stronger reserve currency. No offense to anyone. The euro was never quite there, the yen well the have a 10 years recession, no-body uses gold.

Just the opposite: The Swiss National Bank allowed the Franc to APPRECIATE today, where they had been artificially holding it down. The Swiss Franc is now UP 17% against the dollar; the dollar is DOWN 17% against the Swiss Franc, thus, Rollies will get more expensive unles Rolex eats the difference, which is doubtful.
