Caseback date stamping ended when?

Hello--in what serial range did caseback date stamping end? I'm looking specifically at DJ 1601 series. Thanks

If this was a pub quiz I'd say around 1970, but I'm sure someone will give you a better answer.

I have a 2.47m Daytona, roughly 1970 w/o a date code in caseback

I'm in the 1972 camp ....

Plenty of case backs out there with '72 date stamps.
I don't recall ever seeing a '73

I vote for mid 1972; I have seen some 72's w/o the date markings...

Here is Springer's list:

It's not a debate gentleman. As jedly noted, 1972 was it for date stamping case backs. Now, if someone has a 1973 dated case back, post up some photos.
