36mm Eplorer for 5 inch wrist?

Looking to purchase an Explorer 36mm for my wife, would this be too big for a 5 inch wrist, anyone have pics? Will this look too big, thanks.

I would seriously recommend a 31-34 mm model, but it's really what seems big to her that matters.

The safest place for your watch is on your wrist.

My sense is too large. Likely that if she wears it fitted, the lugs will overhang. My wife is 5.5 inches and no way could she wear a 36 mm.

You'll need to remove some permanent bracelet links.

I think with the way things go today 36mm would be fine. It will look big but hey that's the fashion these days and after a while everyone will just think it is normal and not bat an eyelid or think twice about it

My wife has 5 inch wrists and I know for a fact it will look too big. She has tried on several of my watches as well as gone to the Rolex boutique with me. I ended up buying her the 26mm DJ which looks great on her. Here is a pic of her watch for your reference so you can see the size:

Probably is too big, but have her try it on and see.

It'll be perfect! Big watches are in for ladies, my wife wears a 36mm datejust and looks fabulous.

It depends on what she likes...

My wrist is 5.75 inches...I did have to remove a permanent link, but I think it looks pretty good!

Personally, I would NEVER wear a 26mm watch. So...it's really up to her and her preferences.
