Thoughts on the PAM00159
A used PAM00159 has caught my eye. I haven't owned a Panerai before, so just wondering what the thoughts are on this reference.

If this is your first Pam, I advise you start with the basic luminor marina model with or without seconds at 9.. I haven't owned a GMT pam thou. I started with basic pam model such as 111 and 005 then the Subs and 1950 cases.

I'm looking at this because it is locally available, not because I specifically want this reference, but as I'm new to Panerai, was asking if there were any downside to this ref.

000 or 111 for Pam happiness.
Not a fan of a Pams with a date. Agree with above comments toward the 233 but I would still choose base model.

I would imagine it's offered at a good price? Anyway, it's worth trying on a few before committing. You might end up liking the 159, you might prefer something else.

I'm new to this forum, researching Rolexes. But I have a 159 g series and love the watch. I love gmts, was between the 88 and the 159 and the 159 face was more to my liking. I have a thin wrist and the 44s looked huge to me at the time. Just got a Maratac large pilot which is 46mm and I'm actually ok with the size now. Good luck with the Pam, I'm looking at getting a 16700 now.
