Rolex prep calendar by frank muller on chrono24 auctions

As many of you I'm sure saw this email. I might delay the new suv and bid on this. But I don't have great knowledge of this watch. Was frank muller contracted by Rolex to make this watch. Or is this some kind of special after market calendar deal? Is this a truly collectible watch? I've dreamed of owning a beautiful Rolex with moonphase. Any advice or knowledge on this watch would be appreciated. Thx guys!

I believe this was from when he was in watch making school as a project. He converted a regular Day Date into a perpetual calendar with the features seen here. I don't know all the details but maybe other here with a deeper knowledge of history have better details.
