PAM 328 in for repair for the 2nd time in 3 years.

Aside from regular service, I've never had a watch that required a single repair let alone two. I have never dropped any of my watches and I even take them off prior to doing anything where my arm speed could cause unnecessary stress on the mechanical movement.

The first time the watch made a grinding sound while winding and the reserve wouldn't make it past 48 hours. Panerai repaired it under warranty and it ran perfectly.

2.5 years later, I noticed my watch would barely make it past 24 hours and has even stopped working a couple hours after winding.

I brought it in the the boutique and they said it would be fixed as part of the regular service.

Kind of disappointed in the quality of this movement.

It's hard not to be disappointed with the robustness of Panerai's movements. Compared to Rolex, they seem awfully fragile.

Sorry about the difficulties....but, I think it's really hard to make sweeping generalizations based on a couple problems.

I have bought two brand new PAMs and both had to be sent in for service during the first few months...that track record speaks for itself. I still love the watches...just wish they produce more robust movements.

Have to say that my 233 is acting kinda strange lately, I rewinded to the max and a few hours later about 20-25% of the power reserve was off, after it seems to have been regulating itself, rewound it 2-3 times since then and it seemed to be normal, but reading this post and wearing my 28, i just went to get my 233, and having rewound it yesterday the reserve is at 50%, just rewound it and will see how long it runs until it stops completely, but seems that a trip to an AD will be needed, also bought it brand new unworn more or less 10 months ago, keeps more or less ok time but this reserve thing bothers me.

A little afraid to send it for repairs as I have not only heard good things about Panerai service, but if it needs it…

As for all my pams I need to put them back on time every 5-7 days, they usually have 1 to 2 minutes difference with the exact time, so I can't say they're incredibly accurate watches, maybe they need servicing, but at the same time all of them were brand new, even if 1 is from 2000 and 2 from 2009, I put all of them on time and wound up just now and will see about their power reserve and "accuracy" in the days to come...

Both Pams I owned (111 and 359) had to be serviced multiple times within a relatively short period of time. On a positive note, they were always fixed gratis

I just got the watch back from repair. They charged me the full service and the repair was included in the price. $707.69 later, it looks great. My problem is the the rotor makes a lot more noise now. It's not loud by any means but more noticeable than before. Maybe it wasn't moving enough before? Can anyone chime in and tell me if theirs does the same?

my 328 went in for repair after a few months, a mounting tab came loose, then a few months later it would only run for about 15 seconds at a time....serviced both times gratis, now it runs like a champ....going on 4 years now

never had an issue with my 372, has been a great watch since day 1

Its normal for the rotor to produce some noise, if the noise is a "scratching" one,, then that's the time I will be worried.

my 422 is still new i havent had any problems so far.shit im wearing it as i speak i wonder if it understand me
