My first GMT: 16710 vs. 1675/16750?
I've definitely got the bug now!!. The Pepsi GMT has been on my wish list for a long time, and I'm ready to pull the trigger.
My initial thoughts were for the 16710, modern touches w the vintage flair. But also intrigued by the options of the older references. Can folks chime in on what made the decision for you? And also what to look for in these references?Obviously price is one aspect. I do like the $5-6k price point. This will be a watch I actually wear, not a watchbox queen.! thanks SD4kdoc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I had both a 16710 and a 16750 and they have both been sold/traded off. The 16750 wears a bit lighter than the 16710 and I liked the acrylic crystal better.

There is no wrong answer here, they’re all great watches as I own all three 16710, 16750, 1675. They each have unique traits, but the biggest difference in terms of feel is with the 16710 which is a heavier watch than the other two. The 16710 allows you to track time in 3 time zones vs 2. Another big difference is the quickset date feature with the 16750 which is not available with the 1675 & 16710. Additionally, with the 16750 you have a choice between matte versus gloss dial w/white gold indexes. The matte dial is considered vintage and more desirable. In my opinion, it all boils down to what you like. If you like a watch with character and want something that has a “soul” then go for the vintage with either the 1675/0. However, if you want something modern while still being connected to the GMT’s rich history, then go with the 16710 or 16700.
Let us know on what you decide! |

Alex, sorry but I'm a newbie here. How does the 16710 track 3 time zones vs two. Same amount of hands right?

In the 16710, the 24 hour hand is independent from the hour hand.
