I like the new ceramic dial, but I just can't get past the PCL's. They just don't belong on this watch IMHO.

I like both but went with the 116710 because of the upgraded bracelet and clasp. I like the trip lock crown also. Can't go wrong with either though.

I never seriously considered a 16710 but did try one on (Pepsi). It was preowned, in fairly good shape and beautiful. I was struck however by how light it felt and passed. A few years later I got the 116710 and really appreciated the upgrades. I had the same experience when I flipped my 16570 for a 216570.

gmt-C don't do it for me... the lugs and the bezel numeral size make it look too big for my small wrist.

Pepsi Bezel ordered she's having 2 extra links added and a spa, should be rocking my wrist by Thursday. Do you swap the Bezels yourself? If so is it easy to do without completely screwing them up? I have the coordination of a money on drugs and the gentle touch of an elephant in musth

I'm honored to have been an influence, mate! Your GMT has the best of both modern and classic, SELs & lug holes.

Yes, I replace the inserts myself. Very easy with just a few proper precautions. I did scratch a lug the first time but nothing my watchmaker couldn't fix quickly. Check the tutorials in the library section.

I just tried swapping the inserts for the first time last week. It went great! I'm not good with this kind of stuff either, but check out Jocke's tutorial as well as a couple youtube vids and give it a go.

I'm typically a moron when it comes to this stuff and I did it in under 5 minutes.

Just be careful of the click spring!

I'll say it again...advice from my RSC re bezel insert swapping.

Eventually you will wear down the tight connection your bezel has with your case. Switch your inserts judiciously and not too often.

I chose both!

You can read a short comparison I did here

Long story short:
16710: I prefer the case shape, brushed center links, red GMT hand, and ability to change inserts

116710: I prefer the comfort of the bracelet/clasp, ceramic insert, movement of the bezel, AR coating on date window, and larger dial markers

Both are fantastic watches, try them both on and see which one sings to you more. Can't really go wrong.

Like others have said they are really different. The 116710LN is very flashy and can be a bit much in certain settings. It's something to think about.
