Atlanta! Suggestions please!
Hello all, I'm flying out to Atlanta bright an early tomorrow morning for a weekend getaway with the GF and a few more couples. First time in ATL and was hoping for some suggestions on things to do/see, places to eat, nightlife, anything and everything!
We'll be staying at a hotel in the heart of downtown and are going to the Hawks/Cavs game tomorrow evening but other than that, everything is pretty open. I've heard the Coca-Cola Factory is worth checking out. Any other must hit spots? Anything for our more WIS inclinations? I didn't see any ADs on the AP or Patek websites, which I found surprising. Thanks! |

Another great restaurant is Bones, one of our favorites. You won't find a better steak in ATL, in my opinion.
As previously mentioned, Chops at St Regis is good also. The Coke factory is not all that. I'd rather see the GA aquarium which is next door. Buy tickets a day or two in advance if you decide to go.

Can't agree more with the dining suggestions, might want to add Atlanta Fish Market, if you're not a steak person. All are in the Buckhead section of town and that's where the shopping is also. The big three are Lenox Square, Phipps Plaza and Buckhead Atlanta.
Hope you have a great time while your here. Where else would you find a Waffle House next door to the Rolls Royce dealer? And yes it's a law, you MUST eat at a Waffle House while you're here.

Hawks game will be fun. Downtown to me other than a few restaurants is not that fun of an area. Midtown right up the road has a lot of great restaurants and fun stuff to do. As someone mentioned Buckhead has great shopping options as both Lenox and Phipps have a Mayors with a decent selection of Rolex (I much prefer Phipps) and Phipps also has an Omega boutique not sure if you would be interested in that or not. There is the Aquarium, Coke, and College Football hall of fame all right in a row so pick what you would like and visit one or all of them.

+1 for Bones! The food scene in Atlanta is amazing. There are so many great restaurants. Jump on Yelp and take a look.

Covered, Smothered and Scattered - yes I agree.
But the grits is da bomb. And the pecan waffle - and... Well at 4AM after a long night of irresponsible drinking, etc., almost anything works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Brown & Company Jewelers had a nice Rolex selection when I visited couple months ago. (3225 Peachtree Rd.) There's also a dealer in Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza, all within 3 or so miles of each other.
