This is so funny. I like her idea of putting a price tag on those pics. A dose of reality is always good. ;-)

Good article of which most if not all is true. Some people just don't learn or have to learn the hard way. See it a lot, Joe Blow here in town driving a new sports car but is in the paper for non payment of taxes... unbelievable.

This forum is a prime example of that article - a bunch of enablers on here!

I'm glad I don't have this problem.
For some reason, I've never had any interest in keeping up with the Joneses, their activities or their stuff.

TRF and a couple of other Forums are the only "Social Media" I use as I find a lot of the other stuff a little too 'ego-laden' for my taste, but everyone to their own.
Good ol 'Common Sense' suggests that we all need to have a realistic assessment of our financial circumstances and operate within those limitations. My wife and I have always done "a lot with a little" as that has been our financial reality. We know folks who have always lived beyond their means, lurching from one financial crisis to the next. Good luck to them, we couldn't live that way.

This has been going on for many decades, and many mediums, before selfies.
