A gold watch would have me looking like a drug dealer. If I was ever sufficiently demonically possessed to want to spend that amount on a watch I would buy either a WG Sub or the BLRO. |

I could probably afford an all PM but don't want to spend that much and quite simply prefer TT. About the only PM model I might consider is the newly released 40mm DD in YG. In the end it's all about what you like and not necessarily about what you can afford.

Well I just picked up an LB and I still lust another TT Sub, so even with $ being not an influence I would still enjoy a TT any day of the week. IMHO it is truly a wonderful combination even without a cost associated with the watch.
The combo is really beautiful. |

Your joking right?
Well being that a two tone Daytona retails over 16K and the SubC is over 13K I think you'll find it hard to call Two-Tone white trash. However with such a stupid question anything is possible. I love mine. Wear one basically everyday. So you can call me white trash if you'd like. I'm proud and very lucky to have what I have.

Call me white trash! I think a two tone watch is one of the most versatile timepieces one can purchase. It can be worn with anything. I own several platinum watches and several gold watches too. The next time you see someone with a two tone Rolex, it could be me or someone that is a multimillionaire. I give you a for this post. Very Trollish.

Don't worry about what others think Swaggy. Don't let others opinions take away from your watch.
I personally prefer the TT look over full gold. I would be lying if I said money wasn't a factor but justifying the cost to me just isn't there. TT is not trashy, just a preference over the alternatives, for whatever reason. |

The maxim of "there's no such thing as a stupid question" has been successfully challenged. And on The Rolex Forums of all places.

OP has been MIA since he started this nonsense. I don't have any TT, only SS, I must be below white trash.

The cumulative effect of the bimetallic watch is more than the some of its parts..in other words it has a really nice look that can be gained from combining the two metals together. It's called color interaction.

So am I missing something, but isn't there an implicit assumption on some level by the OP regarding race and Rolex ownership?
One can't wiggle out and just say well the OP is white. His question was, "Is TT White Trash?" Done consciously or more likely not, isn't that really the trashiest thing about the question posed? I'm just sayin'. . . . |

When did TT become polarizing?

The second some guy named "swaggy" said it was. Telling name BTW, I think the guy is doing a little "projecting"?
Swaggy, if you've got an issue with settling for a TT when you really wanted an all gold watch then save your pennies and buy what you want.

I thought that the original post was intentionally provocative/inflammatory!!!
That is fine with me I own SS, TT and YG. I love all my pieces. I couldn't care less about other people's opinion. Unless its my wife's, she scares me!!! |
