1680/0 Serviced

Dear friends,
Please note I just picked my 1680/0 Sub up from the RSC In Dallas . May I say they did and outstanding job on my 40 year old watch . I am embarrassed to say this is the first service and it was quite the mess . I am very pleased with the outcome as the time piece looks absolutely new all round .

I have absolutely confidence in the RSC .

Regards,
Cougaren

Great...

Let's see a picture of the finished work. I had a 1680 white sub serviced by RSC, they did a great job as well...

Dear Sir,
I will try to get help to do that as I am sort of a dinosaur with the cell phone . My son is a "smart phone type " and does all that . We will see if I can catch up with him .

The work was extensive .The piece received all the normal disassembly, cleaning , lubrication , reassembly and regulation . It had a small dent in the back of the case removed and light buffing all over to bring it back to original condition . The face and bezel were cleaned but are totally original. It had the crown and crystal replaced and then pressure tested . RSC Dallas told me the parts for my 1680/0 are becoming hard to get and they were happy to be able to accommodate me .

RSC valued my reconditioned sub at $9k for insurance purposes .

I would appreciate any thoughts you all may have on the service I received .

Regards,
Cougaren

Sounds like they did a great job on your watch and left the important bits alone. Looking forward to seeing pics when you get a chance.
