Panerai and wrist size

6.75" here with a top heavy 243. I've found that the rubber strap was the best fit and now my old Tag daily wearer is too small/too light. So it's soon to be replaced with a Steinhart Bronze, no way a Pam is being worn at my shop.

Pretty sure a 48mm would have been too big.

I acknowledge that the camera angles at least in my crappy photos somewhat distorts the size on the wrist. The 40mm is not a large as it appears, but I can accept all of them. As others have said, I don't care what conventional wisdom is regarding how a PAM should look or wear. I like the 214 @ 40mm especially on the SS old style bracelet.

Frankly I am considering abandoning my quest for the 422 since I think 47mm is too large. My wrist is just about 7".

6.75 wrist and the lugs of my 005 are right on the edges of my wrist.
Surely you can still put this watch on much smaller wrists but looking ridiculous is another thing. You need to try them on to see how they look on you.

6.5" wrist and 40mm works well for me.



But 44mm would work as well and gives you a lot more choices.

Definitely 44mm. 111, 112, 000, or the 8 day manual winds. But you should go into an AD and try on and see what you're most comfortable with.

Just under 7.5" wrist and I like to wear a 44mm. I like the size and weight of the 243 :)

A small (maybe not relevant) visual. I have 19,5 cm (7,7") wrists and wear a 47mm PAM305



I used to have a 44mm PAM177, which IMO also was a nice fit

I have a 6.5 in wrist as well. I have a 44mm PAM320. It fits well. I think it depends on whether your wrist is more round or oblong. If your wrist is round, then, it won't fit so well. If your wrist is more flat/oblong, then you will be fine. I've even tried on 47mm models like the 372 and 422 and even they looked okay on my wrist. I wouldn't bother with a 40mm model. Besides which, if you ever decided to flip it, it would be a tough sell.

I have similar wrist size and, at least to my eye, it's not even close. The 40mm looks far better. Not trying to be rude but in quite a few of the pictures posted above the watch looks way too big on the wearer. A 40mm watch that is 15 mm thick is anything but small. If you just have to go bigger you should try the 392 which is a 42mm. I own one and it looks good, although not as good as my 282 (40mm) Good luck!
