Canadian Olypics Explained...
I had to write this post to clarify a few things for those " non-Canadians" out there.
If you followed the Olympics, Canada did VERY well in the Skeleton ( 1,2 & 4th) This is due to the true nature of Canadians. As you all know, each Canadian lives in an Igloo and owns a dogsled & team of dogs. Also, Canada has many hills & mountains. Due to the price of land, only successful businesses are located at the top of these hills & most of us live near the bottoms. SO.... When we go out in the evenings to visit our local taverns, we take our dogsled team UP, the hills to have a few pints. AND of course, we are law abiding citizens, we respect the " Don't drink and take your dog team out" rule. SO... On the way home, we leave the team at the tavern. BUT, we must get home. Being, cold here, we stop at TIM HORTONS for our Double Double to warm & sobre us up. Then "IT" hits us, that long walk down the hill home. What is one to do???? We grab a plastic tray on our way out the door, head to the top of the street, and lay face down onto our "Skeleton Tray", and away we go...... So, by the time the Olympics roll around, we are well on our way to victory. So, fellow Canadians, let's toast our First & Second place winners & " Roll Up The Rim to Win' with them.

John thanks for explaining that for the non-Canucks.
BTW, I've done the cafateria tray thing down a very dark Mont Tremblant once. |

Well John, that was a fine story for our non-Canadian pals on the forum. However, it does not explain why we fail to get medals in skiing, when of course everyone knows there is snow here 12 months of the year....

I hope it doesn't snow in downtown Vancouver during the Olympics,
Seriously When we get even 1 inch of the stuff, traffic grinds to a halt. It's fine on the mountains, but we don't need any down low.
